Master Magician Mr. Phil,will be broadcasting live on Saturday Mornings starting at the end of August 2011 at 9:00 AM (exact starting date to be announced)

This will be the same class that I offer in my after school programs.

This is for the students that does not have an after school program or can’t make it to my studio for Saturday Morning Workshops or doesn’t live in Houston, TX and really wants to learn the right way from someone that has over 50 years in magic.

The cost will be as follows for one year: (no classes in the summer months or National Holidays)
Starting the end of August 2011 a total of 40 sessions ($400.00) once a week for a one hour @$10.00 per hour. Payable in 8 monthly installments of $50.00

The magic summer camp students will learn theatrics, movement, stage direction, and of course all the
magic skills necessary. They will have enough material to put together a great 30-minute show. Parents and friends will see them perform on Friday night of that week.

As a practicing magician for 50 years and a full time performing magician for over 25 years Mr. Kampf is offering his knowledge in magic and theater to teach the youth this fine art we call magic.

Mr. Phil the Magician to highlight at MC Dads and Daughters Dance

Phil Kampf, a local magician who has traveled on several national tours and performed as a main headliner for Houston’s famed Magic Island, will bring his magic act to Missouri City for the 14th Annual Dad and Daughter Dance.

Sponsored by Phoenix Design Group, the Houston Zoo, The Children’s Museum of Houston and Incredible Pizza of Sugar Land, the Valentine’s dance will take place on Feb. 13, from 6-9 p.m. at the Missouri City Community Civic Center, 1522 Texas Parkway.

Kampf, owner of Mr. Phil’s Magic Show for Kids, will be the highlight performer for what is being described by coordinators as a “magical” night for area dads and daughters.

A 25-year-veteran of the magic industry, Kampf will begin the night with his signature dove act, a feature of past national tours.

In addition to amazing his audiences imaginations, the professional magician will set the magical tone for the evening with his colorful costume and theatrical stage props.

“My costume is very flashy and when people see it they know magic is around the corner,” Kampf said.

An avid magician since the age of 9, Kampf transformed magic into a professional career in 1985.

“I have had the bug ever since,” Kampf said of his career.

He also performs his magic acts at area birthday parties, during after-school programs and during summer camps.

In addition to a night of magical performances, participants at the Annual Dads and Daughters Dance also will have an opportunity to take to the dance floor for a fun-filled evening of dance.

Party goers will be treated to party favors, cake and punch as a part of the evening.

Each daughter also will receive a keepsake photo and gift, with corsages and boutonnieres, available for purchase.

To top it all off, the evening will end with the event’s popular confetti explosion, according to coordinators.

Dance tickets for the night are $20 per couple and $15 for each additional daughter until Feb. 1.

After Feb. 1, tickets are $25 per couple and $20 per additional daughter.

Tickets can be purchased at the Community Center, First Colony Community Association and Club Sienna or by calling 281-403-8500.

This year, dads also will have the option of adding a special pre-event dinner to their “date night” at the Quail Valley Golf Course grille.

The eatery will feature a range of dinner options for party goers from grilled cheese sandwiches to chicken alfredo to seafood combo and chicken fried steak.

The cost for dinner is $20.
